This version of Divifund was released on 28 April 2005. It features additional input verification, enhanced internationalization, and a tempting-looking preview of the Import tab, presently non-functional.
Divifund on Windows requires the following:
This version for Windows is a preview, however, it supports all major features of Divifund on *nix. Also, the dependencies are not completely nailed down yet, and there's no install process (unzip and run divifund.py or mybudget.py ). This will improve with upcoming releases, once as features are finalized.
Primitive install directions:
These may or may not work, there are no guarantees. As we have no control over these externally-provided packages, we cannot say for sure which blend of components will or will not work. However, at the time of writing, all the most recent versions worked together fine (with Divifund in CVS). In the future, we may have a more elegant solution, but this software is still under heavy development and a better system for installation on Windows is not the first priority right now. It will be, but not now.
Another new release of Divifund, 0.62, is out and available for *nix and Windows! This release includes some additional input validation to prevent problematic entries from being added to accounts, as well as code reorganization and additional internationalization. The Import tab is still present but inoperable, providing a tantalizing glimpse of the future! This is a recommended update for all users. As always, report any bugs found to the Divifund Bugzilla, available under Help Out.
The new release of Divifund is here at last! Though it packs little in the way of new features, it has undergone a fair amount of changes under the hood to a more modular, easier to package system, which should aid adoption. You can also see the (presently non-functional) beginnings of a new feature coming soon in the Import tab. All users are encouraged to upgrade. Please report any bugs to the Bugzilla, found under Help Out.
